The Clox and their music posses a unique credibility that undoubtedly has great potential to bridge the gap between Indie Rock, Alternative, and Pop. The Clox formed in Brooklyn, NY in 2007. The group was developed by Denis Orynbekov (vocals and lead guitar), Ruslan Baimurzin(drums), Igor Reznik (Rhythm Guitar), and Alex Prokofyev (Bass). In Fall of 2009 quartet became a trio when Alex left the group, and Igor Reznik switched roles from playing rhythm guitar to playing the bass. Even though currently The Clox is based out of New York City, originally the band got its roots in Kazakhstan in the year 2005. Denis Orynbekov, formerly a professional soccer player in his home country, started this project and instantly gained local press and fan recognition. In the year 2007 Denis moved to New York City with the bands drummer, Ruslan Baimurzin, to pursue music. In September of 2007, Ruslan and Denis met rhythm guitarist and songwriter, Igor Reznik. The three found themselves intrigued with each others personality and immediately decided that they wanted to pursue music together and evolve as a whole. The band played numerous times in some of the country's most legendary venues such as New York City's Filmore at Irving Plaza, New York City's Le Poison Rouge, New York City's Gramercy Theater, Boston's Middle East Downstairs, New York City's Hiro Ballroom, and Virginia's The State Theater, among others. The Clox have shared the stage with artists such as The Toadies, Clinic, The Gift, Mumiy Trol, The Night Snipers, Lyapis Trubeckoy, and others. The Clox's music is widely used in "Video Go See", model promotional videos that are created for Ford, Trump, and other modeling agencies. "Video Go See " is produced by Paz Turner Creative Group. Their first independently produced album, Ready to Starve has been released in November of 2010. Currently The Clox has finished work on their second album that will be titled "Civilian" and is due for release in early 2012.

Toadies LIVE at Gramercy Theater 9/15/10

The first opener was a band called The Clox (I originally had listed Clocks as there name and said they were from London.. Through email from the band, I got the correct spelling of the name and their actual hometown, Brooklyn. Apologies to The Clox for that little typo). They hit the stage shortly after 8pm, working with the 3 piece standard bass, guitar, drums. The drummer looked like the dude from the presidents of the united states of America, bald with a white shirt and tie. They did what they could-to all 20 of us. Won the crowd over by the end of the set.

Px band and Clox

Px Band is the name for Tallinn based band. This time Ruslan the band lead came together with one more guy and they put up an amazing duo performance. After they were done, local superstars Clox band took stage on the outside patio. It was an excellent night full of good music, positive people and more.
